Desk Top Accessories for Ki

Elevated Workflow

Anticipated, active and archival storage needs are critical factors affecting efficient workflow. The desktop accessories provides an essential link between these factors while keeping the desktop free of clutter through an innovative solution to filing, organization and paper piles.

The system offers a compact, modular approach for manufacturer-specific desk systems and configurations that address the growing trend of irregularly shaped desk systems with flexible configurations.  The system’s unique functionality and form were developed primarily in response the anticipated and active storage needs of the user by managing hourly/daily tasks and workflow.

The desktop accessory system can be mounted to the desk by either clamping to the edge, utilizing existing grommet holes in work surfaces, or via a fixed attachment that is secured through the desk.  The system’s rotating base and small reaching arm were designed for optimal adjustment and positioning of the system keeping the work surface clear for other tasks.

The system’s paper management trays are attached to the main post, and can be stacked in two or three tray arrangements. Accessories can be attached to the trays via a grid system of holes and are configured by the user to meet their specific needs.  In addition to a paper tray, options include a dish or CD tray, a CD tower for storing unboxed CD’s, a grip for holding pictures and small pieces of paper, and a small flower vase. All components are also compatible with slat wall systems.

The base and arm of the desktop accessory system are manufactured in die cast aluminum and the trays are injection moulded translucent plastic. The dividers and mats are moulded in a flexible elastomer material.
